Richard W. Oaks W7DME a long time employee and member of the Catalina Radio Club is a silent key.

He was hired by Hughes Aircraft as a UofA student in 1954 and was active in the club. His brother Stanley Oaks W7PJM was one of the original charter members of the Catalina Radio Club.

Dick had over 48 years with the company, almost all of it on the TOW missile. He liked his work so much, he never retired.

Dick died of diabetes on March 3rd, 2002.
